Construction City
XERVON Norway makes a decisive contribution to technical excellence
The construction industry in Norway is experiencing a real milestone with the Construction City project. With a total area of 103,000 square metres, this construction project is one of the largest in the country. The main contractors AF Gruppen and Betonmast are leading the ambitious project together with OBOS, Norsk Gjenvinning, Compass Group and Fagskolen. After its planned completion in 2025, Ulven in Oslo will become the new headquarters of these renowned companies.
The building complex consists of a central structure with six spacious wings. The glazed main hall, which is designed as the vibrant centrepiece of the project, is particularly striking. It will act as a meeting point for employees, guests and residents and emphasise the open, modern architecture of the complex.
XERVON Norway: A key player in the construction process
XERVON Norway has been an integral part of the construction work since the project began in February 2023. The company took on a central role in the planning, supply and installation of scaffolding and working platforms. XERVON used innovative solutions to ensure that the complex construction tasks could be carried out safely and efficiently.
Technical masterpiece: The suspended work platform
One of the outstanding challenges was the construction of a large suspended work platform in the main building at a height of 30 metres. This structure was suspended between two scaffolds and had a total volume of 12,000 cubic metres. It was one of the most demanding and complex engineering tasks of the entire project. The biggest challenge for the XERVON team was to evenly distribute the load of the scaffolding so as not to exceed the load-bearing capacity of the concrete ceiling. This required precise co-operation with the main contractors. Intensive coordination with engineers and designers, detailed calculations, simulations and planning meetings were necessary to achieve an optimum result.
With a considerable commitment of 20,000 working hours, XERVON was able to fulfil all requirements and react flexibly to changing needs. This performance was crucial to the timely completion of the construction phases and the successful progress of the project.

The Construction City project is not only a prestigious technical project, but also a good example of effective co-operation and innovation in the construction industry. XERVON Norway's precise planning, innovative scaffolding solutions and the high level of commitment of its team made a decisive contribution to the successful realisation of the project. The company has once again proven that it is capable of safely and efficiently managing even the most challenging construction projects. When it is completed in 2025, Construction City will be a landmark of modern architecture in Norway and a testament to XERVON's technical expertise.
