More climate action with solar energy

REMONDIS Maintenance & Services began equipping its Group companies with solar panel systems back in 2022. So far, it has succeeded in installing (or is in the process of installing) 9,000m² of solar panels in Germany, Belgium and Hungary. Added together, these systems have an output of around 1,550 kilowatts peak (kWp), the equivalent of approximately 1.5 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity a year. This climate-friendly energy is used to cover the company’s own requirements and cuts carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by about 900 tonnes each year. These are not the final figures, however, as this climate initiative is by no means over: further locations at home and abroad will be added to the list so that solar electricity can be generated wherever it makes sense and is possible to do so.

The climate-friendly solar energy is used for its own use and saves about 900 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually. What has been achieved so far is only an interim step for now, as the climate initiative continues: more locations are to be added both nationally and internationally and solar power is to be generated wherever it is reasonable and feasible.
